John W. Westermayer - Founding Partner / CEO

Mr. Westermayer has been instrumental in the growth and structure of Lighten the Load, Inc. In 2005 John oversaw the acquisition of a local Chicago transportation company. As a result, the company expanded its truck lanes from local Chicagoland to many of the surrounding states.

John has previously implemented warehouse and logistics programs for both manufacturers and retailers. Much of his expertise lies in the area of evaluating and facilitating new solutions for domestic transportation needs. John attended the University of Iowa with concentrations in the areas of marketing and communications.

Barbara A. Reynolds - President

Barbara A. Reynolds is president of Lighten the Load, Inc. a $10 MM transportation, logistics, and warehousing company. She is charged with setting strategy and overseeing business operations.

She has extensive experience in sales and operations for transportation companies, 3PL's (Hub Group Distribution Services), and in the manufacturing sector (Pactiv formerly Tenneco Packaging). Barbara held the position of Manager of Transportation Operations and was responsible for $140 MM in transportation expenditures. Her responsibilities also included opening new distribution centers, and due diligence for company acquisitions.

Ms. Reynolds graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975. She resides in Naperville, IL., and is a member of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
